- Download the file at http://software.lsoft.net/boot-cd-iso.zip.
- Extract the zip file.
- After the files have been extracted, locate and open Iso-Burner.
- It will open up Active@ ISO Burner, insert a blank disc and press BURN ISO!
- Once the disc has finished burning, take it out and put it into the computer you want to erase.
- The disc should boot up and show you the following screen.
- Press down and select Active@ KILLDISK [FREE].
- Press down and select your hard drive.
- Press F10 on your keyboard.
- You will be given the following prompt.
- Press down and select Confirm and Erase.
- You will again be prompted to confirm this procedure, type in ERASE-ALL-DATA in the box and press ENTER.
- The procedure will begin and you will see a progress bar.
- After the procedure is complete, it will display the results. You can now remove your disc and shutdown your computer.
If you feel uncomfortable doing this on your own, you can bring your computer to us and we'll wipe your hard drive for FREE under the condition that your computer is to be recycled or donated. Please give us a call at (337) 330-2555.
